Emily H. Allen, MS, founder & CEO, experienced startup product manager and biomedical researcher, founded Atyra Bio in response to direct personal experience with post-cancer thyroid replacement difficulties. Emily's passion to solve this impactful problem is amplified by her driving scientific curiosity, her perennial rational optimism, and her nature as a champion advocate. Emily has degrees in environmental health from Harvard School of Public Health and Yale University. She lives in Seattle with her husband and teenage foster daughter.
As we research and develop our core offering, Atyra Bio is gratified to have experienced and supportive advisors in clinical endocrinology, bioinformatics, biotech entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and medicinal chemistry. In addition, we draw daily inspiration and insight from thyroid cancer patients powering through their journeys and the physicians who guide them on their way.
